I'm a senior IT professional with two decades of hands-on experience across manufacturing systems, industrial data communications, IoT, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. I hold Microsoft Azure training and certifications in administration (AZ-104) and solutions architecture (AZ-305), cybersecurity certifications in security, compliance, and identity (SC-900, SC-300), and an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Data Communications, Networks and IT. I've planned and executed large-scale cloud migrations. I've built the security frameworks that protect those environments once they're live.

I started writing in 2006 on MyDigitalLife, ITWeb's technology blogging platform, covering tech commentary and product reviews at a time when blogging was still finding its feet. In 2017, I returned to writing with a sharper focus, becoming a Contributing Editor at SA Instrumentation and Control magazine — South Africa's leading trade publication for the instrumentation, automation, and control industry. I've written monthly articles for their IT in Manufacturing section ever since, with multiple pieces selected as Editor's Choice.
In 2020, I joined IoT.nxt as a Content Writer in their marketing department. The environment was fast-paced and technically demanding. White papers, use cases, landing page copy, installation guides, animation scripts, customer newsletters — the full spectrum of B2B content marketing, week after week, for a technical B2B audience.
Since going freeLANCE in 2022, I've written for engineering consultancies, built environment companies, SaaS providers, and IoT platforms across South Africa and internationally.
